Scholarships:

The Middletown (DE) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is committed to helping young people succeed academically. This includes ensuring that students have access to the financial resources they need to obtain a college education.  Scholarships are available to students who attend a public, private, or parochial high school and who reside within the service areas of the Middletown (DE) Alumnae Chapter: Middletown, Odessa, Townsend, St. Georges, Port Penn, Clayton, and Delaware City.   

 

 

  • The Ethel Cuff Black Scholarship ($500 each) is for books and materials. Applicants should have an average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale.  Please see the attached application.  The deadline for the application is March 13, 2023.

 

  • The Dr. Velma Scantlebury White STEM Scholarship ($2,500 each)--Applicants must be majoring in science or technology or engineering or mathematics (medical fields are included). Applicants should have an average of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.  Please see the attached application.  The deadline for the application is March 13, 2023.

UPCOMING SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION SESSION:

The virtual information sessions will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. and ThursdayFebruary 16, 2023, at 6:30 p. m. Remember, these scholarships are for seniors (males and females) that reside in the following areas: Middletown, Odessa, Townsend, Port Penn, St. Georges, Clayton, and Delaware City.
